    Troubleshooting 101

Are you sure the correct IR poet on the box is flashing?
Are you sure the IR emitter is connected correctly and is flashing th code? (Bad IR emitter?)
Are you sure you have addressed the device correctly in your program?
Are you able to manually operate the IR port via diagnostics?

If I remember correctly there are dipswitches in the AXB-IRS4 that need to be set properly. These dipswitch settings are to allow carrier or no carrier plus to do one way serial or IR.

Make sure these are set correctly.

The AXB_IRS4 only has 2 actual emitters internally that are shared across the 4 IR ports so it is not possible to trigger all 4 IR ports simultaneously. I use send commands for IR rather than pulses as it handles IR timing better than a pulse.

I know this is not solving your issue but it answers the title of your thread :)
  • Thanks for everyone information.
    I will try it again.
  • I have had a problem (with australian foxtel) over the AXB.

I ended up reverting back to the processor IR and taking the gamble with the distance - and it worked.

So I gave up trying to find out what the problem was, I just stopped using the AXB for that code set.
