SKY HD Box LAN control

Novice home programmer:

I have an NI3100 ,touch panel and an IPCP505

IPclient telnet port 23 communications work wonderfully from processor to processor using SIS commands

Im trying to control the SkyHD box over LAN
Tried Wireshark, thought I could program it in a similar manner to Telnet port 23, but i guess not. Seeing lots of reference to SSDP UPnP. Can I write some code to enable this coms, seen reference to python, CLI and raspberry pie or is this out of the realms of AMX programming.

    Probably not but would need access to the official API documentation to provide an absolute answer.
