Gigabyte

Hello all
I know that AMX products use the standard 10/100 networks but with the increasing popularity of the gigabyte network will AMX be upgrading to this newer format. The reason I'm asking is we are starting to have request by clients for the gigabyte format which correct me if I wrong is not compatably with the present AMX systems.

I wouldn't see why you would have a problem as long as it is a 1000/100/10 switch. They use gigabit for the MAX system but that is it. After all, not a lot is being sent in a control system anyway.

I've used gigabyte switches (specifically, Netgear) with AMX products successfully; I have yet to see one that wasn't backwards compatible with slower speed NICs.
