Sawtooth Voltage

Hi all,
does anyone of you know if AMX controllers can work with sawtooth input voltage than a sinewave one?
In fact, we have an old Landmark CF10 frame and a new NI contoller (in different projects). Many problems occured since someone has installed an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) for these devices.
Many days later, we realized that the UPS voltage output, was a sawtooth form. (No pure sinewave)

    That's interesting - is it supposed to have a sawtooth output, or is something wrong with it? A lot of electronics would balk at this; I would think it best to filter that power line or get a different UPS.

    A sawtooth voltage waveform is not normal. If you're working with a UPS that generates a signwave, then you've got issues with the op amp output.

    if it's a filter type then one of the filter caps is probably blown.

    Either way, the thing has issues. It will be a very noisy power supply and will undoubtably cause problems.
