PC to NI RS Cable Pinout

Hi all,

I lost the cable I used for years between the PC and the new NI-XXXX before setting the IP parameters. I tried with a standard 2-3-5 on RX-TX-GND cable, but no communication. Tried then with RX-TX inverted on one side, still no communication.

Do I need more than 3 pins connected? Anyone knows the correct pinout on both sides?

I guess this info is so clearly written somewhere that I'm completely overseeing it, so sorry if the question is too stupid. Thanks a lot in advance!

I use a premade null modem (crossed) cable for the programming port. You may need to add pins 7 and 8 to your cable.
