Hi all

I have to control a lighting led device via DMX

AMX have this hardware AXB-DMX512 - http://www.amx.com/products/AXB-DMX512.asp

Are there any other good solutions to work with DMX ?
(I found only this one so far - http://www.interstellar.com/products.html )

    I use the NSI/Leviton IF/501.

It only one-way serial controlled. However it excels in that it can do multiple channel ramps at different rates simultaniously. The AMX device can only run one ramp at a time. Calling a ramp while another is in progress will cancel the first.

There are a huge number of RS232 / DMX converters around... the choice is dictated by what you need to achieve & complexity in terms of channel control, preset recall etc

There is the AXB-DMX512 which is useful is you need to switch seemlessly between an alternative DMX Source.
Jerry Durand's box is useful as he (for a reasonable fee) will add any feature you need into firmware
Pulsar Lighting make a few handy units, that convert PMX (which is RS232) to DMX, 0-10V etc. The basic unit is the PMX2DMX
The NSI kit is ok but mainly aimed at the budget end of the market.
You might also want to look at some of the Gilderfluke products as these are excellent and very reliable. A MiniBrick8 is a good starting point.
The Pharos Controls LPC1 is also a powerful unit, and is easy to integrate as you give it your own ASCII protocol.
