Anyone have a good lead on WAV files for control specific announcements like SYSTEM ON, SETUP, ARE YOU SURE?

I know Cre$tron has a whole bunch of audio files and they might have those saying; I'll try to find them and post them here. If not, you can always record yourself saying them. ;)

There is a free program called Speakonia that allows you to generate such announcements in a variety of voices, from whatever text you want. http://www.cfs-technologies.com/home/?id=1.4

You can also create your own custom .wav files using text-to-speech with AT&T Natural Voices at the link below. You can do it online without having to download any software.

Joe, I would like to thank you very little for this link. I just wasted 5 minutes of valuable programming time making my computer swear at me! :)

    Cool link,

    Jeff

When you’re in the mood for another time waster try smacking the penguin (no, it’s not a euphemism.) My top three scores are 321,317.2,316.3. :)

Joe - you are so evil! This must be your ploy to prevent us from working while you get all the good jobs! Haha! (j/k)

Best score so far was 311. Ugh . . . we're so bad!

Joe, it worked.... I just wasted another minute (altho I'm waiting for a compile, so not really wasted). My high score so far is 322.9.

    Just got a 323.5

The worst part about Joe's post, is not only that he posts the time wasting smack the penguin site, but then he puts his high score in the post which caused me to spend even more time trying to figure out how he got 321!

I give up trying to beat you Joe, but JJames, I just got 320.8 - hah!

Man, I've been trying for 10 minutes and the best I got was a lousy 320.8

By the way I just got a 319 - I'm catching up John!

Look at all of the free time. The economy must be in a recession! Thanks for the WAV's!

Fun site, just don't miss the part at the bottom of the page that says "Audio samples are for private, non-commercial use." I don't see any license restrictions on Speakonia for commercial use.

Did that program listed above work out for you? I just went through the Crestr0n available WAVs and they didn't have anything you were looking for. Let me know if you'd still want them though.

GuiFX has a package available of control-system specific sounds. I've never heard them though.

Speakonia's voices are very digital. AT&T Natural Voices sound good but non-commercial usage is a problem. How's the Penguin batting going?

I'm still looking for more WAVs....

Here is some reasonably priced software that uses the Natural Voices.
