Panic Button and NXD-500i & NXT-CV7

Hello.

Can a panic button provide an audible and visual alarm on touch panels (NXD-500i & NXT-CV7)? The panic button is connected to the AV Control System.

Thanks!

Is this panic button on the TPs or a mechanical button located elsewhere. Either case the answer is yes and just a matter of programming and creating popups and adding an audio file to the TPs.

It's a mechanical button located in certain rooms.

If it's already connected to the control system what does it do when the button is pushed? I assume by control system you mean an AMX processor or master since you also have AMX touch panels. So these switches are most likely acting as dry contact closures and connected to an IO port on the processor. You should already have channel event for that IO then so it's just a matter of adding the send command to pop up your "panic" page and another send command to play some "panic" sound file.

Yes, the panic buttons are connected in a NI-3100 controller.
