how can we connect netlinx controller ( NI-3100 )

with digital video recorder ( DVR 4CH ) , this DVR has ( D-SUB 15 pin ) I/O port

    We're going to be dealing with the same thing coming up shortly, except we're dealing with an AVC707 from AVTECH. Apparently the serial protocol is in the manual. Perhaps we should start there? We'll probably need something like this:

    I haven't used the Avtech, but others I have used implemented control on the same RS-422 buss as the cameras. The advantage to that is once you are on the buss, you have DVR and camera control both.

    Sounds interesting. Can't wait to actually play with it. Once I do, I'll share my experience. (Probably in another week - maybe two.)

    Just out of curiosity - would anyone have the protocol for these things? Trying to get a hold of the manual, but of course can't get it. Thanks!
