BSS 806 vs 326 - differences?

Hi, I'm a newbie to the BSS BLU line and am trying to get a handle on the difference between a BLU 806 and BLU 326. Is the 326 an expander for the 806 and do you therefore need an 806 to be able to use a 326?

Thanks in advance for any help.

The 806 can process audio- ie you can add your selection of compressors, mixers and all the rest of it to the design. The 326 can't do any audio processing at all- it can simply act as a bridge from analogue or digital audio cards to the Dante and/or BLU-Link networks or vice versa, plus it can carry out logic engine processing, just like the 806. The only difference is the audio processing- the 326 has none, as do the 325, 320, 120. The 806 does have the ability to process audio, as do the 805, 800, 160 and the 100/101/102/103/50.

If all you want to do is encode analogue audio (or AES/SPDIf audio) to/from BLU-Link and/or Dante, you can use the 326 on it's own. As always, it depends on what you want to do.
