XLi 800 fan: how loud?

I'm updating the audio for our sanctuary, and am looking at the XLi 800 to replace our old Mackie. The equipment is right in the sanctuary, and right next to the engineer. Question: at idle, how loud is the fan? (Hopefully it turns off completely if there's not much load, which there won't be for most of our services.)

    It should be a whisper! :) I don't think it turns off, probably just a slow speed.
    And it is speed regulated (as per owner manual)!
