Hello everyone,

Im looking for recommendations on my PA+ how to set up the crossover for my FOH setup.

I have 2 ***mrx 525s mains powered by 2 bridged qsc 1850s
I have 4 JBL MP255s powered by 2 qsc 2450s

What should the crossover look like

Thanks,

-Mike

With nothing but subs there isn't much of a need for a crossover is there? BTW using dissimilar subs in near coincidence is not a great idea....

  • Ah, made a mistake. JBL 525 Mains. not the 528 subs. Got numbers crossed in my head.

I guess I'd start out with an HPF of 38hz BW 18 (the 3dB down point of the subs) since your somewhat under powered...perhaps even 40-45hz for better definition since there isn't much below that in live music.

As for the LPF/HPF point I'd probably suggest 100hz LR24 since again your somewhat under powered..

  • Just outta curiousity. The box says its a 1000 watt program. Should i throw alittle more power to it then a qsc 2450?

    Thanks

    Stereo 4 ohms = 750 watts (RMX2450)

    255 rating= 500 RMS, 1000 program, 2000 peak

    255 subs...
1000 watts for DJ music (heavily compressed)
1500 to 2000 (for some headroom) for live music
