GSP 2101 Artist quit working

Hey guys. I have an old GSP 2101 Artist from the mid 90’s that has worked flawlessly since I bought it. I went to change the preset I was using with the dial and it threw up an error code. I changed the battery in it and now there is a different screen. Says “I need a PPC.” Just wondering if anyone had run into this before and also how to swap it out. Any help most appreciated!

Did you do the Factory Reset after the Battery swap? I would recommend that.

Power up while holding preamp, let go, then press mod.

Thanks, I was able to do a factory reset which eradicated the message I was getting. While testing it the headphone audio is scratchy and cuts in and out. Not sure if the volume pot is wonky or if it’s something else.

So is it just the headphone output that is scratchy sounding?
