JBL Portable Link - EQ not working

Hi! I'm using a JBL Link Portable with a built in Google Assistant and at first I could toggle the Eq on the device tab but a few days ago the option disappeared from the app. I have read about the same issue from people that also using third party speakers. Any ideas why this is happening and how I can fix the problem?
