Mtk 22 - USB return not working on one channel

Hello,

I bought a Soundcraft MTK 22 new in September this year. I seem to have an issue though - the ‘USB return’ feature works on all of my channels except for one - channel 2. For some reason, I cannot return channel 2 from my daw back into the mixer. The input on channel two works - so if I have ‘USB return off’ I can monitor the channel in the mixer, and I can see the signal in my daw, however as soon as I hit ‘USB return’ I can hear nothing. I believe all the routing is correct - to test, I have set the channel exactly the same as all the other channels (to master and group 3-4 - where my monitors are plugged in). I’m on macOS high Sierra and have checked the audio device settings - all looks normal to me. Attached are some pics. Appreciate your advice on this

Note, I periodically have a separate, but less important issue - about 5 or 6 times, randomly every single channel has started sending loud white noise back into my daw (all individual channels and also the master. To fix this issue however, I’ve simply turned the unit off and back on.

Thanks in advance,

Hi everyone. Just closing this off for future reference - it seems a better USB cable has fixed the issue for now.

Hi again. An update. The issue still exists. The cable fixed the problem for about 1-2 days. Problem is - channel 2 does not USB return to the desk.
  • Since October the tech department hasn't commented? WTF?

  • FYI.. this is not intended as a tech support forum. The quickest way for technical support is by contacting Tech Support directly in USA and Canada or via the Harman distributor for which ever country a user resides in and purchased their product.

Per the sticky at the top of the Soundcraft General Discussion Forum -

While this forum is a great place for our community to get together, support each other, and talk all things HARMAN... keep in mind this should not be considered a substitute for our live Tech Support. Tech Support engineers may or may not be on the forum helping our users, but the only direct path to proper Tech Support is to call us.

If you're having an issue with a product, feel free to call our HARMAN Pro Tech Support at +1 (844) 776-4899 or on the web at https://pro.harman.com/service . There is a form submission on the website, but I would recommend calling for the quickest service.

This contact number will work for US as well as International, though some regions outside of North America get support directly from the HARMAN distributor in that region. Feel free to check with your distributor on the best method to get your product supported. You are still welcome to call the number above; our Tech Support coordinators can help get you connected to the right person/group regardless.
