Is the pass thru really a pass thru? (On the Eon One Compact)

I am confuzzled. I thought a pass through is a signal that passes straight through the device without being affected by the effects etc. However if I lower the master volume of my first eon one compact, the volume of the second one I have chained off it goes down too. Shouldn't the volume of the second one be independent?

    It's technically a "mix out" but a pass through is just something that passes through the audio in one or another. What you are describing above is typically referred to as a "loop through."

    My EON ONE MK2 using pass through to my generic (not JBL) passive speakers has no sound. Do they need to be active?
