As the IO-82 was discontinued sometime ago, we have not tested it for Mac OS Catalina 10.15. It may still work though in any case. Follow these suggestions:
Make sure you have the latest driver for the I-O series installed:

There is not a driver for the FW810S unfortunately no. Only for the IO Series does the 3.11 Driver work up to and including Mojave
Thank you for this workaround. If anyone ends up here with the same issue, going to the Audio Midi Setup app and adjusting both the Input and Output Format to "2 ch 24-bit Integer 44.1kHz" got my Lexicon Lambda to work on MacOS Catalina again! No need to throw the interface away! 😅
It is a handy tip. I am pretty sure though that we never were able to get any of the Lexicon interfaces working on Big Sur. The I-O Series we only tested up through 10.14 Mojave.
It is important to note that the Greek series (Alpha, Lambda, Omega) interfaces were all Mac OS Compliant and did not require a driver install, unlike the I-O Series that did.
