XLR outputs

in Soundcraft Mixing Consoles

UI24R:
(1) Can I bridge XLR pins 1+3 on the outputs?
(2) Is there a risk of damaging the output transistors?
(3) Are the UI24R outputs Active Balanced or Impedance Balanced?

    (1) Yes. Why?
    (2) No. Outputs (ICs, nowadays, not transistors! :smiley: ) should be compensated.
    (3) What's the difference?

    UI24R Outputs are impedance balanced.
