Why does it sound bad every time I buy a new Akg?

I had an Akg k44 and when I replaced it with an Akg k52 it sounded bad at first. After a few days the headset turned up its volume and sounded very good.
Now the same thing happens to me with the Akg K72. I was using the Akg K52 that was already old and I replaced it with this new one. I connect it to the PC and it sounds like a $3 headset.
I update the Realtek drivers and they still sound just as bad.
How can I solve that?
I have Windows 10 and I always connect my headphones to the rear 3.5mm input on my PC's motherboard.
