Preview Sources

Hello,

I have an Enova DVX-2100HD and a Modero MXT-700 for a project I am working on. I would like to program the panel to display a preview for all of my DVI sources. I was wondering if this is possible with the equipment I have, or if additional equipment is needed. If possible, where should I look to find the code for the preview buttons.

Thanks,
Matt

    Matt,
Additional hardware is required to show the image on the panel.

In order for you to show the preview image, it must be encoded after the DVX and decoded at the panel. You could use the Multi-Preview or Multi-Preview Live box, or a H264 encoder. Using MP or MPL will keep you HDCP compliant and you can show any source. A traditional H264 encoder would not be HDCP compliant - but that would most likely limit you to not being able to preview HDCP content - from either a BluRay player or a MediaServer.

The HDCP challenge is less of an issue given this is a 2100HD model. This older unit is not HDCP compliant whereas the newer DVX models are fully compliant.
