AMX USB LAN driver

I downloaded the AMX USB LAN driver, but during the installation a message box with "Unknown: 6.1" appeared.
When i rebooted my computer and looked up the help --> about box, it still shows "AMX US BLAN: not installed". Why is this happening? I'm using windows 7.

    I've never had a problem with the USB LAN, but you can try some generic solutions, like making sure you run the install as Administrator, and making usre your permissions are r/w in the target folder.

    I also had to run the installer in Win XP SP3 mode. It fails once (throws an "installer failed to run' error). Then run again and all is golden.
