Text Entry fields on Subpages

I was recently trying to use Text Entry buttons on a subpage of an MXT-1000 project. I found that there was no cursor in the text display field, and anything entered via text entry buttons would not appear. Further, pressing the 'Send' button did not result in a string at the processor.
I copied all buttons from the Subpage to a regular popup page, and it worked.
Is this a known limitation of subpages?
