Joystick alternative for G5

Does anyone have a good solution to getting x:y values on the G5 panels?

I'm trying to implement a colour picker for RGB lighting, which I've done multiple times before on a G4 panel using a joystick control, but not sure how to do it now...

Any suggestions appreciated!

    I've just spoken to Tech support - apparently there is a feature request for this, but it's not currently planned for release - fantastic.

    Even better would be a 2-axis bargraph control ... then you could add swiping to it.
