DGX/Sony Issues

Hi Guys,

Just curious if anyone has come across the below issue;

I was on a site yesterday with a DGX-16 and they said their Sony EVI-HD7V camera?s were going offline every now and again and a reboot of the DGX would fix it.

I then decided to upgrade the firmware on the DX-TX?s and the DGX itself as they were old, initially afterwards 1 camera came up but the other 2 didn?t, then another reboot 2 came up and 1 didn?t and then another reboot and now none come up!

Performing a ?VIDIN_STATUS on the DX-TX returns no signal and when I go into the DGX configuration software the resolution comes through as something stupid like 4000 x 2000 @ 8Hz (those numbers are obviously slightly different). I have tried locking a res on the camera?s and also on the DGX.

Thanks,

Cameron

    I suppose this is a silly question - but have you hooked up the Sonys to a monitor to verify all is well there? It does seem odd that all of them are flaky I'll admit. Also, you might try powering the TXs locally to see if that changes things. My thinking is that if the TX box is having trouble at its end, it might have more to do with a local issue. I have done many Sony cams and have had zero problems with them.

    Sorry for the late reply, this was a known firmware issue with the DX-TX boxes and Sony Camera's.
