Squeeze Box and Roon Labs control

Dear All,
I would like to ask if someone has worked with the below :

1. Squeezebox control with "RocketGUI" module ( Total Music 2 module for AMX ) . If so, is it reliable ? If no one has, do you know which is the latest module for squeeze box and where can I find it ? I have seen some posts for this device here but I can not find a downloadable file

2. Roon Labs system ( www.roonlabs.com )

An help will be very appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
George

I've installed a number of RocketGUI Squeezebox modules, and they run very well. It will do 8 zones of audio, and a good number of UIs, although there is a limitation of concurrent users, but I don't recall what it is. So I would heartily recommend it as an option for Squeezebox devices or streaming services.

What are you usimg for a server? Are you going to use it as a traditional multi stream source going through a switcher?

I have found Autonomics to be a bit more flexible and it does not rely on a computer running any special server software. If at all possible, I'd switch over. The module is free direct from Autonomics.

You can buy a media server, rack mounted, capable of 5 sperate independants stream/ouputs, 2TB hard drive, CD/DVD rip for about $800 from Vortexbox or S1Digital. It's a linux box but it's not running on a seperate PC per se. Pretty much the same as any media server. Downside to squeezebox is future support and changes made to support streaming services as they channge their requirements. Personally I would investigate HEOS for streaming.
