I didn't see a thread about this yet so I thought I would be the first to start the ranting. Just got a tech note email saying AMX was going to this instead of assigning static IPs from the factory. I used to think that AMX listened to its custormers, but I guess things change, maybe they are about to go back to Panja just to keep up with the theme. This is exactly what I don't need. I don't need your product to randomly assign itself some IP address that I then have to go to extra steps to find out. AMX you said right in the email that everyone was asking for default static IPs, but you have chosen not to listen! A couple of months ago I was in a programmer 3 class and the whole class agreed on this, WHAT'S YOUR MALFUNTION! Give us what we want or do a better job of explaining why this better than the other way. YOU ARE NOT THE ONLY GAME IN TOWN!!!
