adding a video "sink" without adding control to this device

Is it possible to add a video sync (e.g. monitor/projector/streaming encoder) to a DVX without adding control to this sink device?
Most computer monitors (often used as preview monitor) don’t have a IR/serial port.

We are looking at a future option that would allow a non-controlled display device in RPM- i.e. a preview monitor.
