DGX-1600 Telnet SEND_COMMAND for Video Switching Not Working

I have only one DGX-1600. I am not able to execute SEND_COMMAND 5002:2:1, "'CL0I3O5T'" in Telenet. There was no response.

Where as if i connect directly to Serial Port at backside of the DGX-1600. I am able to execute SEND_COMMAND 5002:2:1, "'CL0I3O5T'". I am getting a proper response and switching is happening.?

Where i am missing ?

    Does SEND_COMMAND 5002:1:1, "'CL0I3O5T'" work?

The DGX-1600 only accepts switch commands through port 1 on the 5002 device. On non-100 series DGX's the port is 2 and 3. Also, the command "CL0I3O5T" is incorrect for IP/M2M control of a 100-series DGX, for switching Input 3 to Ouput 5 try:

    • CI3O5 (For IP or Master to Master control)
    • CLALLI3O5 (this is really only for 232 control)

The reason it's working via the BCS/DGX Shell is because that is a direct connection to the switch device. It ignores the "SEND_COMMAND 5002:2:1" and sees the "CL0I3O5T" so performs the switch.

Please reference the Netlinx programming section of the 100-series manual for more information.
