Dip Switch won't launch - Triggers Microsoft Office Installer

Has anyone seen this, or have a workaround?
Netlinx Studio (current) on WIN10 (all versions), when I try to launch DIP SWITCH in TOOLS, I get a WINDOWS INSTALLER dialog that appears to try to install some Microsoft Office component, which hangs, fails, and loops until I kill the process. On occasion, after this happens, Dip Switch will actually launch. Usually not.

I see this on all my WIN10 installations, including brand new ones and old ones.
Same thing happens when I manually launch the separate DIP SWITCH exe.
I'll try an imbed:

OK looks like the image will not show.
    So it says
PLEASE WAIT WHILE WINDOWS CONFIGURES MICROSOFT PROFESSIONAL PLUS 2013
then it opens another window that says
THE FEATURE YOU ARE TRYING TO USE IN ON A NETWORK RESOURCE THAT IS NOT AVAILABLE
and says it cannot find the installation package "ProPlusrWW.msi"
Then a cancel hangs. Sometimes requiring a reboot to end.

I have confirmed that this does NOT occur without the combination of WIN10 and OFFICE, several versions, but in this case, Office 2013. If the machine does not have OFFICE, Dipswitch will launch normally.

I have to find a WIN7 or earlier computer to use DIP.

  • Dipswitch works for me. Windows 10, current NS and Office 365(with locally installed applications).

Not useful to you I guess, but now it's 1:1 for DipSwitch...

Which part of the program do you need? Shouldn't be too hard to recreate it. Good luck getting updated software from Harman. ;)
