AMX Radia Lighting_Control Panel

I have Radia system but one of the wall control panel (switch) stopped working all of sudden. It is green inside but nothing happens when we press the buttons and we also tried to reset it by turning all off. This switch control all the lights for our entrance area.

Anyone has any idea to get replacement (new or old) or use any alternatives including Leviton multizone switch in the below link. Per AMX they do not make these switches any more.

Be certain that there is not an Axlink issue to that one keypad before you jump... you could have a wiring or connector issue The inner two wires on the AXLINK are data, the outside are power. If the outside pair are delivering power, you'll get inside LED light regardless of if the DATA wires are connected. Swap a working keypad from another location and see if the problem follows the keypad or the location. Do not alter the address on the keypads, and note that they will continue to operate the location THEY CAME FROM when moved to a new connection.

You can substitute the newer AMX MET series of AXLINK keypads (not the even newer Ethernet versions) - they respond the same as the Softwire. Example: https://www.ebay.com/itm/224655201697?chn=ps&mkevt=1&mkcid=28&srsltid=AfmBOoqd8CuPOSG1xKka9S-ZuuwHjQtNy9oQrwMLlZtrJkCDmLVWlZlaLGM

  • John, Thank you so much for replying. I will check on Axlink as you mentioned and will update here. So incase the softwire swith is bad then we can use AMX Net series. Any idea how we can program these AMX Met? Do they have Dip combination there?

The MET series is very similar to the Softwire. It has a dip switch to set the AXLINK address exactly the same as many AMX devices. (AXLINK is the name for the 4-wire interface to these and other AMX devices.) The MET style keypads come in several layouts including the MET6n which has a volume control spinner that is also up/down/left/right/select, plus 6 more normal buttons, AND an AMX IR receiver. The MET series has recently been revised by AMX to work on IP (ethernet network). Don't get one of those if you don't want to run new wiring.
