Just bought some old NI-3100 and NI-4100 for learning and such. Just some basics.
Working in a AV company so that's why I want to learn and just play with these gems.
The units does not come with any kind of PSU.
What can I use? What are the power requirements for those? Obviously I can read that the power input is 12v. But what current for the PSU output?
I'm new to this so please be kind.

Anything over 1 amp at 12v will run it. If there are a lot cards in the 4100, you may need 2 amps. These are not greedy.

The 'official' AMX power supplies often used were 13.5V/2.8A (PSN2.8). The NI-3100 & NI-4100 itself use about 900mA, the NI-2100 a little less. It also depends on what you attach to the AXlink port, which can take it's power from the NI power supply.
