Experience with GE Concord Security System

Greetings,

Has anyone had any experience with the GE Concord alarm system and its Netlinx module?

I am working on a resi project with that security system. The Concord has a SuperBuss 2000 automation module.

After loading up the Netlinx module and test UI file, I have established communication which seems mostly normal.

However, entering codes to disarm the alarm through the UI does not seem to work. The alarm system will not disarm. It can be armed through my UI and most other function work as well.

Also, the variable text window on the test UI reverts to "armed to stay" shortly after any disarming.

Any help appreciated.

  • Did you ever have any luck with this panel? I use the panel with a different control system without too many issues.

I got it working well enough with the AMX comm module. The AMX-provided UI module is pretty much useless. I beleive the issue is with security system firmware that has been updated since the AMX module was written. Sending arm, disarm and panic commands works fine.

I used a GE Concord alarm system on 1 AMX system and had to junk the UI because it did not work. In that AMX system I did not need to arm or disarm the alarm system, but just needed zone status. I never had any problems with the SuperBuss 2000 automation Comm Module.
