AMX Aware of bugs

AMX said they were aware of the bugs in NS2.5 and that they are working on removing the new version and putting up the old version.

They said this should happen in the next day or so.

This is typically the case. I imagine they know about these bugs as fast as we discover them, and they also frequent these forums, so they see what is reported here. They seem, however, to have a policy to keep quiet about them until a fix is out (not an unreasonable policy really, I do the same ... I much prefer to not tell my customers about a bug that isn't affecting them until I already have it fixed, or quietly fix it and never bring it up). If you have trouble and talk directly with someone in support, you will often find they are already working on it, but they they don't generally volunteer the information, unless it's a major bug.

Actually Tech Support new of the problem and recommended that they put the old version back up, but the powers that be were not listening. So the technician recommended I try to persue this from customer support and was successful at doing so.

I understand them not saying much about small bugs with different things, however this was a very unstable release of the software, not to mention the technician said the beta was far more stable than the release.

Thanks for the info, I have been holding off on installing this upgrade and I'm glad I did.
