AXB-TMX+ Television Manager

Is the device ID that is set with the dip switch of an AXB-TMX+ TV Manger used for both the IR port and the RS-232 port? The manual states that channels 2-127 generate IR and channels 128-246 are used for push and release of received IR but I don?t see anything regarding sending data to/from the RS-232 port.

Am I correct in assuming that any SEND_STRING to the device ID of the TMX+ automatically routes to the RS-232 port?

I?ve never used these devices before and I?ve got 15 of them on one of the systems I?m working on now. Are there any gotchas or anything special I should know about the TMX+?

TIA

Yes, the device address applies to all functionality of the unit. SEND_STRING to that device will send the string out the 232 port, and CREATE_BUFFER or DATA_EVENT on that device will process and data received on the 232 port.
