Interact-TV

Anyone ever see this product in action? http://www.interact-tv.com/

I am wondering if the quality is bearable and also if there is any chance to integrate with AMX with anything other than IR.

I just like the fact that it is running Linux :)

I too want to learn more about this. I just got an offer from them to enter into their dealer program in which they boast: "It can be controlled by an AMX or Crestron controller."

If it were just IR-controlled, then any kind of universal remote or control device that fires IR could control it. The fact that they specifically mention AMX and Ctron implies (to me) that they have RS232 capability now.

Mainly, I want to know how it can be so much cheaper than a MAX. Quality is a concern.

It's funny you mention that. I just received an email from them...again. I never really looked at them, but their rep mentions that their entry level mytelly system is $795. This seems impossible and very gimmicky. I will be interested to see if anyone has actually looked more deeply into this product.

I got the same e-mail today. Sounds to good to be true. Probably another windows based application.

I didn't get the e-mail, but I gave the web site a quick look. It looks to me it's a media center PC dedicated to the media center.
