While installation process, VA first installs the modules and then the database is created. This may take 20 minutes to 3 hours depending on your PC.

One of our dealers had the problem that the database was not completely installed. In this case, VA must be uninstalled and reinstalled again.

The following deinstallation instructions we got from AMX:

    --- AMX, Chris Lumley ---
    Windows XP

    - First stop the database engine
    - Start -> Run
    - Enter "services.msc" (without the quotes)
    - This should launch the Services window
    - Locate the service called "MSSQL$AMX"
    - Select the service and stop it
    - Exit the Services window
    - Uninstall MS
    - Launch the Control Panel
    - Launch Add/Remove Programs
    - Locate and select the entry called "Microsoft SQL server Desktop Engine (AMX)"
    - Uninstall the application
    - Uninstall VA
    - Either via the Control Panel's Add/Remove Programs or the VA menu shortcut
    - Post Uninstall
    - Launch File Explorer
    - Navigate to \Program Files\Common Files\AMXShares\VASupportFiles
    - Delete the VASupportFiles folder (only)
    - Install new version of VA
