Arcam AVR300

I'm trying to import an AMX module into VA and am having a little trouble seeing it. Can anybody help out with this?

  • If you're trying to import the Arcam AVR300 NetLinx module, it will not work with VisualArchitect. Only Duet modules will work. On the InConcert website, Duet modules are marked with a 'D' icon.

If you need this quickly, the Arcam AVR300 also has an IR file available to download. Go to http://www.amx.com/va/faq.asp under the topic "How do I import an IR file (.IRL) to the device database?" to see a short online video that shows you how to import the IR file into VisualArchitect.

But if you can wait for a Duet module to be written, go to http://www.amx.com/inconcert/trednet.asp?page=vote and place your vote to get it in the queue for Duet module development.

Isn't the request only for Netlinx modules? At least thats the only option in the pulldown window of the request page.
  • Internally we mostly develop Duet modules now. Very rarely do we get requests for standard NetLinx modules. I think that pull-down was a hold-over from when AMX developed modules and codeblocks for Axcess, Landmark and NetLinx. Since it's the only item left in the list, I'll see about getting it removed to make it less confusing.

You'll need to modify the whole header to the request page. Below is how displays right now:
    Voting/Request
    Request for NetLinx Module:
Please complete the form below to request development of a NetLinx software module. Your request will be reviewed by AMX before it is presented for voting.
