MAC G4 and Extron

Off topic from AMX but has anyone had a problem with a MAC G4 power book not working with Extron equipment? It doesn't want to detect the exterior monitor when hooked up to a system 8, CIA-111-3 etc but works fine directly to the monitor.

    Don't you have a setup on the Extron to allow loops in VGA connector ? I suppose your macbook is plugged through a VGA adaptor to the Extron ? If so, in VGA connectors, monitors do some loops on some pins to indicate resolutions and stuffs like that, it allows also computer to know if an external monitor is present or not. If these loops are not done in the Extron or it hides them from monitor to the computer, mac graphic card won't detect a plugged monitor !

    Yes, the CIA-111 has a monitor emulator switch but it doesn't seem to echoing a monitor for this Mac laptop. I've scoped the signal and its level seemsd okay. I am unable to get this laptop to work thru any exttron box, system8, crosspoint, cia-111.
