MIO-DMS Firmware Problem.

Just a heads up to anyone using the new MIO-DMS Keypads. There is a known problem in the firmware that will cause transfers to fail after sending the keypad file multiple times (I heard anywhere from 10-20 transfers before the problem). I believe that doing a clear all user files fixes the problem for another 10-20 transfers, but I never got to that point to verify this after a lockup. This is a known problem in the firmware and will be fixed with the next firmware release (I think).
There is also a problem with some fonts causing problems similar to the above. (this turned out to be my problem... I think). It might also be a problem with the keypad builder file getting corrupted. I was having problems transfering the keypad file and initially was told that it was the firmware problem.... but some investigation revealed that it might be the font problem. I changed all of the smaller point sizes to the default, and things got a little farther in the transfer, but still aborted due to being out of memory. I then watched which page was causing the failure and then removed the last page being transferred. I think I had to remove 2 pages, and finally everything transferred without problem. I was able to recreate the problem pages and transfer without issue. I was also able to use smaller point fonts and transfer without problems after removing the ?corrupted? pages.
Hope this saves someone else from a hair pulling fest.

P.S.
I will post my thoughts on the Keypad Builder program in the appropriate thread as well as my impressions of the MIO-DMS when I have some more time and don't have to play catchup from the above problem.

P.S. Jeff, do you use NS or the KeypadBuilder program to do your transfers? My experience is sometimes using NS doesn't work right... but I haven't had a problem with KPB so far.
