I had an Interesting issue with a NI4000 and MVP 8400's. I recently downloded TPD4 353 and converted my panel and uploaded. Due to, I believe, not have the complimentary firmware the MVP's when they came online bought 85 devices each online. Nine MVP's in a home and the NI crashed. In looking into the issue as each MVP came online you could see a marked decrease in the volatile memory until I only had 145k and the NI failed.
We resolved the issue by going back to TPD4 319 and all is wonderfull.
This issue bought to light the question, as to memory management and how much volatile memory each device as it comes online and functions, it uses? So I looked at tech notes and found and old document that looks like it was written at around the time the first NXI's came out but was not detailed enough.
So does a document exist on how much memory each device uses and are we able to get a copy? This would be of benifit for trouble shooting and also our continuing understanding of how the processor works and how it handles devices.
