DMS Pinnable Slider

I haven't found anything on how to program the slider for this device.
Right now I assigned a channel number to it but when you touch it it just sends 2 or 3 presses back to the master and I cant do much with that. Is there a way to do a true sliding function there, or a level event?

My understanding on the slider is that it will only work for scrolling lists.
