Do you have to be a dealer to buy AMX products?

Hey guys,

Some of you may remember I was given some hand-me-down equipment last week...I've been playing with it since and I'm hooked on AMX. I love everything the systems can do and I want to do more. I'm considering making a system for the conference room at work. My question then is, do I need to be a dealer to buy products direct from AMX? In the near future I'd like to get certified, but I can't wait that long before I start buying new things. My second question is if I can buy products direct from AMX will I have access to the software online? I seem to remember the answer being YES, as long as I have a PO number from AMX.

In order to purchase from AMX, you must be a dealer. You might be able to become a dealer through your company if they see fit. If not, they can give you a list of dealers around the area that you can purchase products through, but they will be at their prices.

You can request to be able to download software from AMX. If you create an AMX.com account name, somewhere in the account settings there is an email address that you can contact and ask them if they will let you. You might have to go through your regional vice president or manager to get approved as I did.

or if you end up buying stuff from an AMX dealer, that dealer can give you a code for the website to let you download stuff. I'm definitely an end user, and our dealer sponsored me for training as well as giving me download access to AMX's website
