Audio Distribution???

Does anyone know of an audio distribution system with room keypads (ala Matrix-Sonance-Rusound) that will SEND feedback.

I thought Matrix already had this capability until I spoke with tech support to find out that you can only request feedback. He did say AMX is working on an update, when??? Also, from reading other Matrix threads I'm wondering about the reliability of the Matrix rs232 communication.

    The Niles ICS system has unsolicited feedback. It can be set as a response to a command, when a keypad event happens, or every 3 seconds.

    The ICS system is actually pretty cool by itself. We've been very pleased with it.

    Sounds like what we need! It's to bad the Matrix doesn't do the same thing.

    Does it communicate rs232 or IP?
    Do you have the protocol for the device?

    While it's an IP based system, currently third party control is via an RS232 box.

    Since you can recreate the displays available on the remotes you can technically just have the controller and cards controlled only by AMX.
