any way to grab the .tkn file off a master

I need to pull the compiled .tkn file off the master. I am rewriting code for a 27 room system and the old designer will not provide the code. This job will take place over a one year time frame, and the customer would at least like the old complied code so that if a master fails during the redesign time we can get another and load the old compiled code. I tried to ftp to the unit and noticed that there we directories that I could not access. Any one have any ideas
