DEVICE_INFO Function

Greetings,
As you may know, there is a DEVICE_INFO function that can return information about the master including the serial number, firmware version, etc.
I am writing a few modules that I will be selling and I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on the use of some of the DEVICE_INFO data for securing the module for use in a single master.
The plan is to release the module hard-coded for use only on a known master. Given that only the compiled file would be supplied, I have not yet found any way to trick the module into thinking that the master is of a different serial number or to modify the information within the master.
Any thoughts?
Thank you.
