WAP 250 Illegal beaconing?

Has anyone seen a WAP 250 transmitting on channels that are not legal based on it's country setting. I have a client who is telling me that two of their WAP250s are beaconing on 8-13 and 7-14. I don't really have a clue how to even measure that, since the primary traffic out of them is on 6 and 11, so that is what my computer sees. Does anyone know of a program I can download that will let me see other beaconing from an AP?

Netstumbler will pick up any WAP that is broadcasting, and tell you what channel it's on. I use it all the time as a preliminary survey tool.

I believe it is possible to telnet into the WAP and get to some of those settings. Perhaps somebody got in and turned on the international channels.

I have gone in and adjusted the signal strength on a couple before.
