NI-3101 processor

I am looking at the photos of this new processor to be released early next year.
I dont see a blank cover or slot to allow an ICSNet option for expansion.
I do see an AXLINK port for expansion with AXCESS devices.
I am wondering a few things:
1) How long will AXLINK modules be around?
2) Is AMX working on some type of ethernet modules?
3) Yes, it looks cool, but is it worth the production effort?
As I watch the news releases with more and more companies being integrated into
AMX's product lines, I am wondering if history will repeat itself.

3) it's a signature series. It is ment to look cool in places where equipment is visible (living room?) and not tucked away in the corner of the room
2) probably
1) not long, since the CP4 series is discontinued...
The signature series processor was made to look like the tango stuff and to look cool etc so I wouldn't read too much into their design.
AMX does have ethernet modules at least for RS-232,IR and relays, the NI-700 and NI-900
I should have stated in my original post, that I already had the real answers to all my questions.
My wonderings were "out-loud-thoughts" concerning the direction that AMX is
going with hardware design, etc stated in question form.
For some reason, I keep being reminded of the BP-1000 Panja days.
I love AxLink. for most things it works quite nicely. I hope they keep it for a long time.
As my boss says . . . K.I.S.S. (Keep it super simple.)
AXLink is indeed a nice connection method. The "other" company also keeps using their AXLink version, even in new devices. Why would you change it?
