Pool Controler?

Does anyone have any luck with pool controllers? The only one I have used is a Jandy and that was years ago. I have read that Jandy may have improved slightly but im still nervous about recommending it to my dealer. Any suggestions would be great, thanks,

I've used Jandy in the past, but, like you, it's been a while. They definitely were flaky ... worked, but needed constant resetting.

I have a current job where I am integrating with a Pentair, but it probably won't go live until Spring. It looks to me to be nearly identical to the Jandy in function, and there is a module for it. How it works I can't yet say.

I have dealt with Jandy in a couple of recent jobs (Spec'd by the pool people, not me) and they seem to be better than a few years ago. I just finished a job last week that has a Jandy controller. So far, it has been doing well. It installed without problems, but only time will tell if the interface will be reliable.

One thing that I have learned is to always move the serial adapter next to your processor and out of the equipment room that houses the Jandy processor.

I've used Compool with Landmark and now the replacement Intellitouch with Netlinx without any problems except that the pool contractor is a jerk. Pentair is the manufacturer.
