Sony FWD PX3 IP-Protocol and RS-232 problems

Hi all

With the new Sony Display FWD-50PX3 I have many problems:

// Controlling over-IP
- Did everybody know how i can control the Sony display over IP? I can't found a IP-protocol for this device. There is only a network port on board - for using RS-232 u must used the serial Slot Card - u can use only one card slot for adding Inputcards.

// Controlling over RS-232
- The RS-232 protocol works really well. But there is one big problem. The panel didnt answer me on any RS-232 commands after a hardware power down. I must first start the display manually (Remote Control) and then the communication works.

    I know a similar issue with Sharp LCDs. In the setup menu there is a position to disable this energy safe function (afaik in Japan it is not allowed to keep up RS232 control if the device is in standby).

    Besten Dank Marc.

    Yes the Sharp LCD problem and the solution I know too. The difference for my problem is that i can turn off (standby) the display over RS-232 and then the "power on" command works! But after a hardware power down i can't start it again over RS.
