Infrared codes for Sony DAV-DZ230

Hello,

I'm looking for infrared codes for the Sony DAV-DZ230 Home theatre system. I only need the codes for on /off. I've tried other available (Sony A/V receiver) codes, but i can only get the device to go to standby (system off code). I can't seem to find a code to power it on.

    If you need the codes desperately enough, the links below (and the related pages on these sites) have all the info you need to write out hex codes by hand for the commands you need. These can then be imported into IREdit. From memory the discrete power on and off commands in the command set for Sony gear are codes 46 and 47 respectively.

    First of all you'll need to work out the device code for the unit you're working with by transcribing the bit pattern of one of the commands you already have from the waveform view in IREdit.

    I used the following links when writing out the codes for my Sony receiver. I'm using Control A1-II as opposed to IR, but the codes are basically the same.

    Note that not all Sony equipment responds to discrete power on and off commands. This is especially the case with consumer gear that is manufactured for Sony by other companies (older HD set top boxes spring to mind).
